Beschreibung
The poems are taken from MAGDALENA, a collaborative work in progress by Phil Shoenfelt and Katerina Piňosová. The book is a poetic-erotic meditation on the dark, obsessive side of sexuality, and on the magical-erotic nature of Prague itself. It takes the form of a series of poems, letters, short stories and incantations passed back and forth between two imaginary lovers.

Pressemitteilung
The poems for the booklet are taken from Magdalena, a collaborative work in progress by Phil Shoenfelt and Katerina Piňosová. The book is a poetic-erotic meditation on the dark, obsessive side of sexuality, and on the magical-erotic nature of Prague itself. It takes the form of a series of poems, letters, short stories and incantations passed back and forth between two imaginary lovers.

Shoenfelt is a longtime resident of Prague who is known for being singersongwriter of the bands Southern Cross [Prague] and Fatal Shore [Berlin]. He has recorded thirteen CDs to date on various labels in the UK, USA, Czech Republic, Germany and Greece, and is the author of Junkie Love, an autobiographical novel, and Zeleny Hotel/The Green Hotel, a bi-lingual edition of poetry and song lyrics. Junkie Love was winner of the 2002 Firecracker Alternative Book Award in New York.

Piňosova is a member of the Group of Czech and Slovak Surrealists and has had her work published in different literary anthologies, publications and magazines. She is also the author of Housenka Smrtihlava, a book of poetry and illustrations, and collaborated with the American poet Laura Conway on The Alphabet Of Trees. She has had a number of solo as well as collective surrealist exhibitions in Czech Republic, France, the UK and the USA.
